2017-2018 Officer Team Elected

Merced,CA- El Capitan FFA wrapped up a successful year with our 4th annual Spring Banquet on May 23rd, 2017. We had a great evening filled with honoring and awarding our Outstanding and most active students from the past year. We also had the honor of the FFA State President Mr. Andrew Skidmore attending and speaking at our banquet. We ended the night with the most exciting part, the announcement of the 2017-2018 officer team. Congratulations to our newly elected officers and thank you to the retiring officers for your service this past year.
Chowchilla Fair Results-Successful Showing for El Capitan FFA

Chowchilla,CA- El Capitan FFA wrapped up a successful Chowchilla Fair on Saturday. El Capitan had 10 students that participated all throughout the week at fair. Lambs, Goats and Swine were well represented by our most experienced livestock showman. We had many class winners in swine with Sariah Avila placing 3rd in intermediate showmanship. On the Lamb side are very own Tyler Dietz won Round Robin showmanship. On top of winning round robin he also won many breeding awards for his ewes. Courtney Alvares placed 3rd in Novice showmanship for lamb. Overall a great experience for our members of the El Capitan FFA.
Tyler Dietz Wins CA Sheep Production Proficiency

FRESNO,CA- Tyler Dietz on Monday night was awarded the California Sheep Production Proficiency award. Tyler had the most impressive sheep project in the state of California. In front 5,000 plus FFA members at the Selland Arena in Fresno, Tyler did the El Capitan FFA proud.
Willis Wolf Wins CA Star Farmer

FRESNO,CA- Our very own Willis Wolf of the El Capitan FFA won the California State Star Farmer award. In front 5,000 plus FFA members at the Selland Arena in Fresno, Willis's project was highlighted with a video presentation with state FFA officers visiting his ranch in Ballico. The Star Farmer award is presented to the with the best SAE project in the state of California.
