The goal of the El Capitan AgriScience Pathways is to bring relevance to science courses by applying concepts to everyday phenomena in agriculture. Courses are designed to be hands-on with many laboratory opportunities. All Ag Science courses meet ECHS graduation and UC/CSU credit for admissions. These courses also meet CTE Agriscience pathway requirements. Courses in this pathway include:

Agriculture Earth Science

Agriculture Biology

Agriculture & Soil Chemistry

Agriculture Earth Science curriculum focuses on providing hands on experiences that teach geology, meteorology, oceanography, and astronomy. These topics are related to agriculture based phenomena and meets Next Generation Science Standards. This course qualifies students to participate in chapter, state, and national FFA events and activities. The course is also meets graduation and UC/CSU credit for admissions.

The Agriculture Biology curriculum focuses on providing hands on experiences that teach cells, cell division, energy transformations, genetics, DNA, genetic engineering, evolution, and ecology. These topics are related to agriculture based phenomena and meet Next Generation Science Standards. This course qualifies students to participate in chapter, state, and national FFA events and activities. The course is also meets graduation and UC/CSU credit for admissions.

The Agriculture & Soil Chemistry curriculum focuses on providing hands on experiences that teach the physical and chemical nature of soil. These topics are related to agriculture based phenomena and meet Next Generation Science Standards. This course qualifies students to participate in chapter, state, and national FFA events and activities. The course is also meets graduation and UC/CSU credit for admissions.
