Here at El Capitan, club rush is a time in the beginning of the year where students explore different pathways, clubs, sports, and examine different ways to make their high school year exciting and prosperous. El Capitan FFA was a vendor at this year's club rush, and it was a major success. El Capitan FFA had all pathways advertised in the quad, out for students, to see what their interests may be and if they would like to sign up for a class in that pathway area. Pathways offered at Club Rush were the Power Mechanics pathway, Welding pathway, Animal science pathway, Agriscience pathway, Floral Design pathway, and much more.

The El Capitan agriculture department include classes that range from agriculture mechanics, small engines, to ornamental horticulture, floral design and veterinary science. The El Capitan agriculture department has shown continuous growth since opening in 2013. There has been in an increase in pathways and classes offered, department facilities, Career/Leadership Development teams, and much more. Club Rush at El Capitan is a way for students to join El Capitan's Agriculture department and see the benefits of doing so, before they actually get into the class. As our chapter motto states, “Legacy Starts Here.” Students who are interested in joining the “legacy” by signing up for an Agriculture course, can email Mrs. Kaylyn Davenport for more information.
