Chapter Officer Retreat

This summer the 2024-2025 El Capitan FFA officers and Advisors visited Lake Tahoe for the annual officer retreat. During this three-day retreat they explored the events of this upcoming year's calendar, identifying the goals the El Capitan FFA Chapter would like to accomplish, strengthening the relationships and team building skills between the officers and advisors. The newly elected 2024-2025 chapter officer team includes Shaminka Elwin, President; Emma Nuno, Vice-President : Growth of Leaders; Kaylee Weldon, Vice President : Building Connections; Zoe Schuller, Vice President : Growing Communities; Tegan Siemiller, Secretary; Silas Camp, Treasurer; Valexis Vang, Reporter; Madilyn Ward, Sentinel. El Capitan’s FFA advisors are Mrs. Kaylyn Davenport, Ms. Julie Schellhase, Ms. Celia Casso, Mrs. Michaela Pignone, Mr. Daniel Fishman, Mr. Jeff Clark, Mr. Dillon Guillen, and student teacher Ms. Giselle Pineda-Silva.
The officer retreat was a great way for FFA officers to socialize amongst the advisors and get to know their fellow officers, new Horticulture teacher Mr.Guillen, and student teacher Ms. Pineda! Some bonding activities included hiking, zip-line rope course, swimming, roller-skating, card games, singing and so much more.The El Capitan FFA officers are excited about the new school year and what’s to come. The officers strive to increase the involvement of members in their chapter. Our motto “Legacy Starts Here” represents our chapter as we introduce new opportunities to our members for future success. During the years our chapter has grown and developed into a wonderful experience as members can join different teams that cater to their pathways.
